At the heart of AmVet Concrete Coatings is Troy, a man who knows the value of precision and integrity. Born in Petersburg, Illinois, Troy joined the U.S. Air Force straight out of high school and dedicated 33 years of service as a jet engine mechanic and production controller. During his military career, he earned five Commendation Medals, two Achievement Medals, and a Meritorious Service Medal — plus an Associate’s Degree in Production Management.
After retiring in 2018, Troy and his wife Candice settled in Merritt Island, Florida, where he co-founded AmVet Concrete Coatings with his friend Mark Huseman. Their goal was simple: to bring military-level precision and reliability to the local community through premium concrete coatings. The result? A company built on discipline, trust, and a mission-first mindset.
