Born 1967 in Petersburg IL, Troy joined the Air Force straight out of high school. He served in the Air Force for 33 years as a jet engine mechanic and production controller, earning five Commendation Medals, two Achievement Medals, and a Meritorious Service Medal, as well as an Associate’s Degree in Production Management.
Retiring from the Air Force in September 2018, Troy moved to Merritt Island, Florida, and built a new home there. He started AmVet Concrete Coatings with his friend Mark Huseman, hoping to help out his local community, and the response has been overwhelming!
Troy still lives and works in Merrit Island with his wife Candice. They have three sons, Josh (33), Justin (30), and Colton (7).
